Brenda is the founder of Humane Investing, LLC., a mission-driven vegan owned business since 2009. She has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 2007.

Education and Experience:

Brenda  graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1994 with BA in Psychology and English. She began her career in banking, assisting clients with IRAs, 401k rollovers, and various banking, lending, and investment needs. After spending over a decade in the financial industry and repeatedly being told that she was too much of an idealist to ever fit properly in the corporate world, Brenda founded Humane Investing, LLC. Assisting those who are also inspired to change the world is incredibly fulfilling and Brenda never loses sight of the incredible responsibility and trust that her clients have given her.

Community Involvement:

Brenda has volunteered for Junior Achievement through her membership with the Financial Planning Association and was the treasurer for both her homeowner’s association as well as for the Richmond Chapter of the William and Mary’s local alumni group. Brenda has been a coordinator with the Richmond VegFest since 2003 and an active member of the Vegetarian Society of Richmond for almost two decades. She thrives on educating people on the virtues of investing for a more compassionate and humane world for all.
